COVID Safe Plan
COVID-Safe Plan
I’m doing my part to protect my clients and our community by following a COVID-Safe plan in Melbourne/Victoria. My COVIDsafe plan is now in place for all sessions in the studio.
This COVIDsafe plan will be updated regularly as the rules and public health advice changes. You can also stay up date by visiting this government link.
Please take the time to read through this information so we all adhere to the rules and regulations and keep each other safe.
COVID-Safe Plan
Business name: Something Meaningful
Plan completed by: Brittany Evans
ABN: 44 024 980 589
Date reviewed: 05/11/20
This plan applies to all indoor studio and outdoor sessions with Brittany Evans of Something Meaningful, as of the 29th October 2020.
The photographer providing said service is registered with the above ABN.
1. Ensure physical distancing
- Both the client and the photographer must remain a minimum of 1.5 metres from each other where possible.
- Upon arrival to the studio, client will be asked to remove shoes and wash and sanitise hands.
- Only immediate family from the same household can attend sessions (maximum 6).
- Only ONE household to visit the studio per day.
- When the photographer is posing a newborn baby or young children it is up to the parents to allow the photographer to get close and touch their baby to pose them.
- Instead of the photographer posing families by physically guiding them, verbal instructions only will be given where possible.
- To minimise the build-up of people, outdoor photography locations will be selected based on them being a safe distance from other members of the public.
- All transactional activity will be undertaken online where practical (invoicing, contract signing etc.).
- There is always at least a 24 hour period between all sessions in the studio.
2. Wear a face covering
- A filtered face mask will be worn by the photographer at all times throughout the photography session. However, as an asthma sufferer, there will be times that face mask may need to be removed for easy breathing. If the face mask is removed, Photographer will explain the lawful reason why and put the face mask back on when breathing has improved.
- Unless a lawful exception applies, Clients and their children over the age of 12 must also wear a face mask except during the times they are being professionally photographed. This is in accordance with Stay at Home Directive (Restricted Area) no. 5, Clause 7(s) that states a face mask can be removed “to the extent that it is not reasonably practical to receive that service wearing a face covering”. At all other times a face covering should be worn.
- Cloth masks will be washed after each use, and disposable face masks will be discarded immediately after use. The Photographer and Client must also immediately replace their face mask if it becomes visibly wet or dirty during the course of the session.
3. Practise good hygiene
- Clients must disinfect using hand sanistiser upon entering the studio and before and after touching any printed samples.
- Vigilant hand and cough hygiene will be maintained at all times by the photographer and client.
- Disposable face masks and hand sanitiser will be available at the studio for use by the Client/s if needed.
- The studio will undergo a deep clean and wiping down of all touch surfaces and bathroom facilities prior to each session with disinfectant.
- Cups, cutlery etc. will not be available for use in the studio. Bottled water and pre-packaged snacks will be available.
- Camera equipment, props, blankets etc. will be thoroughly cleaned and laundered between each client.
- Clients are not permitted to handle any of the photographer’s equipment.
4. Keep records and act quickly if unwell
- Contact details for all persons in attendance must be supplied and will be collected prior to the session.
- The importance of rescheduling if any family member is unwell will be reinforced and is applicable to both the client and the photographer.
- The session must be rescheduled if either the Photographer, the client or any person attending the session:
- displays ANY cold or flu like symptoms;
- has been recently tested for COVID-19 and has not received their results prior to the session commencing;
- has recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has not yet been tested or received their test results.
- In the event of the photographer coming into contact with a person with COVID-19, Work Safe Victoria will be notified immediately and all contact details will be provided. Any exposure to a person with coronavirus (COVID-19) will result in the closure of this business until it is declared safe to re-open by the relevant authorities.
- In the event that the client comes into contact with a person with coronavirus (COVID-19), they shall notify the photographer immediately and will not schedule a photography session until they have received a negative test result
5. Avoid interactions in enclosed spaces
- Services may operate indoors of a stand-alone/separate building (studio) with its own entrance and bathroom.
- Up to 6 people maximum allowed in the studio at any one time in accordance with one person per four square metres of space.
- Only 1 client/household will be photographed per day in the studio to allow time for thorough cleaning and as per the guidelines.
6. Create workforce bubbles
