What to wear
What to wear
As a photographer, I know the importance of choosing the right location for a photoshoot to achieve the desired outcome. The same applies to what you wear. Your wardrobe can make or break the magic captured during our time together.
I recommend sticking to neutral, simple colours and tones, as the focus should be on the people in the image, not what they’re wearing.
Clothing with bright colours, bold patterns, and overly dark tones can change the look and feel of the image completely. I always encourage clients to keep it light and airy, and suggest colours such as cream, white, beige, grey, and muted tones. These colours dont have to be boring – you can layer clothing and add textures to enhance the overall beauty and create interest to your outfits and therefore your images.
I have provided some inspiration on what to wear for your family photos. Please feel free to browse through and get some ideas for your upcoming session.
Preparing for family photos can be a daunting task, especially when it comes to choosing what to wear. You might ask yourself questions like: what colours should we go for? Should we all match? Will everything look good together? But instead of stressing about this, why not leave it to your photographer?
I understand the challenge of finding the right outfits for family photos. That’s why I’ve put together a body-inclusive Studio Wardrobe with over 30 dresses for mums, shirts for dads, and clothing for kids from size 0-13 years.
You don’t have to worry about shopping or coordinating outfits. Simply come to the session and allow for a little extra time to style your family.
